Paint your bricks for a unique look
You can easily paint over your bricks to get a different look for your room. All you need is to use a stiff bristled brush to remove the dirt and dust from your aged brick and then coat it with a primer. Use either latex or cement based paints as they work best with bricks in general. Do not use rubber, oil based or even epoxy paints.
Tile your bricks
You can also use ceramic tiles to cover a part of your brick to give it a truly different look. Mosaic or stone tiles are great to enhance the decor of any boring plain wall. You can either use the tiles to add them up to the ceiling or only halfway upwards, it’s really up to you, depending on the look you want to achieve.
